Not Me! Monday.

As I read through different blogs I find out more and more interesting stuff. I loved all of these not me, Monday post.. I had to take part.. It was so much fun. You guys should give it a try.. I know I am posting on Monday Night and the day is nearly over.. but it was still fun. You guys should check out the other links to Not Me, Monday. You will get a good laugh. I know I did..

"And now, because being brutally honest about the ways we really live our lives is a really freeing experience--feel free to join in... " To find out all the rules.. visit my charming kids.

Here goes nothing---

I did not finally give into the Twilight Series. For several reasons, I do not read teen fiction. I do not like vampires and I most certainly never follow the crowd.

I did not start the above mentioned book late Saturday evening and finish it late Sunday evening. I have way to much going on to indulge in a book for several hours at one time.

And while we are at it, I did not make a bookmark to use while I was reading the book.

Today while at school, I did not strike up a conversation with my 17 year old highschool aid about the series. I did not ask her to check out the 2nd book for me in her name. I most certainly did not..

I also did not cry within the first 3 chapters of the 2nd book. I did not have to put it down and walk away to get my mind off of it.. because how ridiculous would that be?

I did not take typical myspace pictures this weekend with my friends just to post them on my page.. For crying out loud. We are adults. We do not act childish every chance we get. And I do not have pictures to prove how silly we are when we all get together.

I did not make a Happy Fall Ya'll gift of candycorn and peanuts to give away.. but before the said gift was given away, two handfulls were missing. I did not eat the missing candy. Surely, I did not.

I did not attend a karaoke party this weekend and just dance around like no one was watching.

I also did not make a fool of myself while singing summer nights with a friend. Okay, maybe I did do this.. but it was so much fun.

I did not cut this blog short so that I could read a few more chapters of my book before going to bed. I wouldn't do that to you guys. I just wouldn't...

It sounds like you "did not" have a fun weekend. ;~)
Hope you're able to put the book, that you are not reading, down long enough to get a good nights rest.

What a 'not fabaulous' weekend! I'm seriously considering the Twilight series....I'm not a fan of vampires, but everyone is talking so much about it!

The part about the 17 year old and checking out the book made me laugh out loud!!!

I have heard great things about the Twilight series but I am just not into the vampire thing.... I don't know that I could bring myself to read them...

Fun post! Love it!
Ladder golf is also called ladder ball, hillbilly golf, tailgate toss, etc... I didn't know what it was either until we went camping.
Ladder Golf is played in rounds, each round consists of all players tossing 3 bolas (2 golf balls connected by rope).
The first player must toss all 3 bolas before the next player is able to toss his or her bolas.
Bolas can be tossed in any way the player chooses, as long as they are tossed individually and can be bounced off the ground. The object is to get the bolas on one of the three rungs, which each have a different point value.
The winner of the round earns the first toss in the next round.
Games are played to an exact point total of 21.
In order to win, a player must be the only one to score exactly 21 points after the completion of a round.
I'm sorry if I confused you more! It is a lot of fun. You can find the game at Meijer, Walmart, and any sports store.

I might not check out that series, because I definitely don't like vampires...not.

I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE READING THE BOOKS! I am more than obsessed. It is ridiculous, really, how badly I want this to be real. I just started the third book Sunday evening and I kind of want to take my time because I DON'T WANT THE SERIES TO END! So far, I have read one a week and I do not know what I will do when it's over.
Oh, how I love Edward. I am so so so excited about the movie in Novemeberrrrr!!!!!!!!

"Happy Fall Y'all" - that cracked me up.

I haven't started the 2nd Twilight book because I let my sister borrow it and she's 2 1/2 hours away. Hopefully soon, though!

ha! This is a good idea! The Twilight books must be great b/c I've heard a lot of people talking about them. I haven't crossed over into vampire territory yet, but I may have to so I can keep up with the book reading group!

You're funny.... did you know that? :)

Although I don't know much about the Twilight series, I'm thinking I may have to check it out! I do, however, LOVE candy corn!

The Saras Family said...

Thanks! U too!
But truth be told...
I would have NEVER eaten 2 handfuls of candy from my Happy Fall Ya'll give away bag...especially if they were really 'fall-ish" type candies like reeses pieces or candy corn. Never. Wouldn't have done it. And when I was a 1st grade teacher (for 7 years)I NEVER ate handfuls of the M&M's from the marvelous manners jar. Ever!

I totally take goofy pictures like that... they just stick on my computer because I'm not brave enough to post them! :)

You are crazy...I am trying to get into this book that you are forcing me to read...but so far chapter one...well....it sucks...lol

Thanks for asking...and for stopping by! I was not trying to finish "Sisterchicks Go Brit!" by Robin Jones Gunn! I have definitely not been addicted to anything she writes since I was in high school! Because that would just be childish! Looks like you did not have a great weekend!!!!

Heheh, those are funny! So did you watch One Tree Hill last night? It was really good.

This is a fun post!

I haven't listened to the Isaac's, but I will have to check them out. My dad loves bluegrass, and I have inherited a little bit of that love. I mainly love the harmonies...so pretty!

Hi Becky! You are adorable -- thanks for saying "Hi" -- I saw that one of your favorite books is "Redeeming Love" -- Never read a book twice until that one... very healing --

That was funny!! I have not started the Twilight series yet, because my boss hasn't got me the books yet! My boss read the book to see if her 13 year old could read it. She finished the series in a weekend.

Looks like you had a good time!!
