Not Me! Monday

Yeah, It is time for Not Me! Monday again. To join in the fun click on over here to see more..

I did not have the most fabulous Birthday Week ever. My family and friends did not totally bless me above and beyond what I deserved.

I did not eat out twice this weekend and pray the calories would not effect weigh in Monday. I did not do this because everyone knows that calories still count even if it's your birthday.

At one of the places I did not go, I did not wish that I had only ordered lettuce wraps and nothing else. Because how silly is it to order just an appetiser? One of the other places we did not eat at this weekend was Red Robin. While we were not there, we did not absolutely love the freckled lemonade. It was not super yummy. We also did not walk out of there with 4 of those fun glasses. We didn't ask the waitress if we could buy some.. and she did not say YES.We also didn't have their Mile High Mudd Pie. Because that would be way to many calories. And if we did order it. We most definitely wouldn't be able to finish it. It would be totally wasted..
I did not make myself refrain from entering Saks Fifth Avenue and the Coach Store in while in Utica Square. When I am trying to stick to a budget, I do not have to refrain from places of this nature because I have impeccable self control.
I did not hug a sales lady not once, but twice, while I was shopping for a new pair of Jeans. She did not tell me that I was just to darn cute.. I would never hug a stranger just because she was kind and went out her way to be extremely helpful.

I did not tell her that she could trust my BFF because after completing her 30 day program she was completely cured of her shop lifting tendencies.. because I would never joke around like this.. I would never make up crazy stuff about my friend and blurt it out for the whole store to hear while they were allowing her to use a staff only restroom.
After all the hugging, and the talking I did not leave the store empty handed only to realize that I would have to order them online because they did not have petite in the color that I wanted. I did not grumble about my short legs. I did not wonder if the sales lady wished she could take her hugs that she initiated back?

I did not hate that OU lost to Texas.

I did not let my licence expire because that would be a big stinkin' mess. I did not find this out while attempting to get a new cell phone. Did you know that if this would have happened they wouldn't even let me get a new phone with an expired license? Did you also know that in Oklahoma..if you let your licence expire you have to present your birth certificate and about 36 other documents to get a new one. Good thing I haven't lost my Birth Certificate : ( Good thing it doesn't cost 27 dollars to get a new one within a week. Ugh.

I'm glad you had a wonderful weekend!! That is, minus not getting the pants and your expiration issues! By the way, for our reunion, we are having a family picnic during the day and then meeting at a local restuarant for dinner and dj and I'm sure some will get drunk, but I don't do that anymore, so I'll just laugh at everyone else (and take pictures...he he he!)

WOW! Found your blog through the Not Me Monday, and then was SHOCKED to realize YOU are a fellow OKLAHOMAN! ;0) I am JUST north of you in Owasso!

I found that really pretty cool...Not found any other Oklahomans in my blog reading before.

And either I am extremely easily amused, or sounding stalkerish right now....hmmmmm.....sorry! HAAAAAAAAA!! Loved your blog anyway! LOL

LOL - and oh those dinner pictures - that cake looked absolutely divine. Great Post!

The time I did not forget to get my licence renewed before it did not expire, and did not not realize it for over a month, I was glad I did not live in Georgia where the DO NOT (really) require anything. . . hmmmm Good luck with the 35 documents (bless your heart!!) Yikes!

You are great, I love you. Thanks for sharing your birthday weekend pictures. I have just the opposite problem my pant legs are never long enough. Couldn't we just be somewhere in the middle?

Jennifer Owens said...

Glad you had a fun birthday weekend. That mile high mud pie looks SOOOOO yummy - I've always wanted to order it but I'm afraid I would have ZERO self control and eat the entire thing by myself. Which is kind of possible.

By the way, self-control with incredulous desserts and Coach stores is never a must when celebrating a birthday.

I've spent my life justifying everything, can you tell?! (o:

I love your 'not me' posts! My brother let his license expire...it was such a pain. My mom did not trust him with his documents and was a nervous wreck to give them to a freshman college kid.

Jo-Jo said...

I do not now want a mile high mud pie and I am not going to search my kitchen for something sweet after seeing that picture!

Tonya said...

Dude, that STINKS! (All the trouble to get your license renewed) Here in Mississippi you can order them online - UNLESS of course you've moved. I was about to suggest you renew online, until I saw what all you have to do just to get new ones. I have NO IDEA where my birth certificate is.. I'd be in T.R.O.U.B.L.E.

Glad to hear you had a great b'day!

Yum, yum and more yum!! Oh how I love lettuce wraps and mile high chocolate cake!! Looks like your birthday was FABULOUS!! And being that I'm from Alabama, but a HUGE Auburn fan, I too was extremely disappointed in OU loss to Texas. This just means that Alabama is even closer to the #1 spot, which is unacceptable!! Although it would be so super sweet if by some miracle we could beat the number 1 team at the end of the season and crush all of their national championship hopes...wow...I guess I'm a little upset about football this season!

Oh, and I feel horrible!! Your comment was sooo sweet on my page, but thankfully I still have my mother. After reading my post it did kind of sound like she had passed on. However, she's still alive and kickin'! I just got teary-eyed because I miss being her little girl. I feel so silly!

Heather Bug said...

Oh, and I DID NOT just eat 2 pieces of Coca-Cola cake!!! :)

Kelsey said...

Yumm lettuce wraps and that cake looked amazing. I need to find a red robin.
That sucks about your license!! It sounds like a real pain in the butt to get a new one...why exactly wouldn't the PHONE company let you get a new one without a license? What if you didn't have one period...

Love the sales lady story! I do that all the time and then feel bad about not buying anything...Sometimes I do buy and then return an hour later so they don't know..and then I get the looks from the cashier like, wtf you just bought this an hour ago..oh well.

Jill @ Sneaky Momma said...

Oh, my, gimme some of that Mile High Mudd Pie!!!!!

Love lettuce wraps AND Red Robin! Sounds like a great weekend to me...shopping & restaurants :)

No, no one noticed my skirt was inside out...thankfully the way it's made it wasn't terribly noticable. Still, I was horrified when I got in the car and realized it.
