T-Shirt Tuesday..

This is the design for our class t-shirt. Just how cute can a t-shirt get? Each student was asked to draw themselves - Don't you just love their drawings? I chose the flag background since it is an election year. The colors of the shirt will be grey with red ink. We are printing them today @ 9:45. I will take some pictures so you guys can see this cool process. Each kid gets to print their very own shirt! They are very excited!

We also ordered out basketball shirts today. I am excited to see how they turn out. I love the saying on the back:

If you wanna play with us...
You gotta be tough!
If you wanna keep up with us....
You gotta be fast!
If you wanna beat us....
You gotta be kidding!

How fun is that? That only thing I am sad about is they are going to be printed on white shirts.. Ugh. Our school colors are Red & White. We usually do red one year, grey the next, then white.. and repeat again and again.. I don't like to look up in the crowd and see all white shirts.. I say we go red every year.. ugh.As I have stated before, Our school mascot is a Demon. Lovely, I know.. but I am used to it and I actually like it.. It fits...lol. Anyway, so I have about 34 of these Devil Rubber Duckies and I need help coming up with an idea... Basketball season is about to start and I want to give each player a little rubber ducky.. Help me come up with some fun wording..pertaining to winning and or basketball..

My class is making these sucker ghost to present to the ball team on Friday. This cute little card that I found online will be attached to it. I personalized the cards with our school name! My kiddo's love giving the basketball teams treats.. They think it is so cool that the big kids talk to them..

Have I mentioned lately how crazy I get about BASKETBALL SEASON? Just 7 more days until our first game! Whoo Hoo!

The shirt is adorable! You cannot beat 5 year old art; it's precious.

I'll think on the wording you asked about.

I love the T-shirts. They are leaps and bounds above what we did when my kids were in school!

"The Terrors" is the mascot at my daughter's school. Yeah. It's Satan... I always give her a hard time about it. :D The rubber ducky was really cute, though!

You are such a cool teacher. My kids have done t-shirts like these before where everyone draws their head. It's funny to see what they all come up with in the 3/4/5th grade. One year a boy drew himself as a devil. He had himself pegged though!

The ghosts are so cute. Getting the little guys is an awesome way to get them excited about basketball and keeping out of trouble. If they know only the 'good' kids get to play that can help them through school.

Have a great week!!

Oh how fun!! I love the t-shirt - great thinking! That will be something their moms keep forever and then drag back up at High School graduation. Too cute!

That shirt is adorable! My daughter's preschool classes wear these bright neon green t-shirts on field trips so they can easily bee found in a crowd. Yours are so much cuter. I haven't gotten too far on the rubber duckie wording but maybe something about "doing more than just "squeaking" by the competition"?

Those shirts are TOO stinkin cute. You are so awesome - I'm sure all the kids there appreciate you so much. Your school seems like a really great place to be a student and a teacher.

Hmm...something about "slam duck" keeps popping into my brain, but then I haven't had nearly enough coffee yet. I'll keep thinking.

What a cute shirt...did the kids draw themselves on there?? Last year, in my son's kindergarten class, the teacher had all the kids do thumbprints and then she drew eash thumbprint into each child's face (with the same hair, eyes...everything). Then she made it into a frame and gave it to us around the class picture!!

That t-shirt is precious. We used to create quilts like that and raffle them off to raise money for our preschool. Parents eat this kind of stuff up.

The shirts are adorable.

I love the ghost suckers and the card. How sweet and thoughtful you are!

I only missed one basketball game the whole time my kids played, and that was because I was in the hospital. I love basketball and always loved going to the games.

I thought about you over the weekend when I shopped at the outlet store in Allen, TX. I thought of you at the Coach store and the perfume store.

Have you ever been there? It's great! I'll be posting about it tomorrow or the next day.

You are such a good teacher! I wish that I could be more motivated to be a good teacher. I think that I have the skills, just not the drive. Good work!
