I took this picture of my mom and me the other day. We were just goofing around and being silly but I really love it. All my life I have been told that I look exactly like my dad.. but in this picture I see the similarities between my mom and I. The more I thought about it the more I realized. I do hope people think I look like my Mom. But really it's not the outside features that I am talking about.. For you see... My Mom has the sweetest spirit ever. I hope people see that in me. My Mom is scrappy. She fights for what she believes is right. I hope people see that in me. My Mom loves with her whole heart. She will do any and everything she can for those she loves and for even those she barely knows. I hope people see that in me. My Mom is crafty. My Mom has a good eye for decorating. I hope people see that in me. My Mom is tender hearted. My Mom aches for the hurting and prays for their needs. I hope people see that in me. My Mom makes mistakes but learns from them. She doesn't hide them away. I hope people see that in me.

Someone sent this to me the other day in an email. It had a witty little saying that I will not repeat but I do think it's one of the cutest things I have ever seen. It is totally not my picture. I don't know where it came from.. but I thought it was so cute. It definitely brought a smile to my face and I hope it makes you smile too. Don't you think it's just the cutest little donkey you have ever seen?

I love what you shared about your mom. Just in the picture, I can see so much of her in you. My mother passed away when I was 18 and a gorgeous picture of her graces my mantle. There is so much of her I hope others see in me too. What a blessing that you have a mother you want to emulate.

People ALWAYS tell me I look like my dad and that my sister looks like my mom. I always hated that! Although I adore my dad-who wants to be told you look like a man? I don't have his bushy eyebrows!! You look lovely-just like your mother!

Ooh... loved the photo of your mom and you. I post pix (young and current) every Wednesday of my mom because that is the day I spend the whole day with her each week. She lives in an assisted living community. I think you would get a kick out of these. And everyone tells me how much they love the beautiful photos of my mom when she was young. Great picture of you and your mom! Isn't it funny how we spend our teen years trying to be different from our mothers, only to get older and realize that we hope to be just like them? Mothers are a true gift from the Lord.
