Not Me Monday!

Whoo Hoo! It's that time again. To join in the fun or to read more.. Click on over to McMama's blog!

I did not take one of my students on the field trip who didn't have a signed permission slip. I did not realize it halfway to our destination and almost hyperventilate the rest of the way there. I did tell on myself immediately upon returning to the school. I did not breathe a sigh of relief when nothing ever came of it.

I did not notice that my favorite pair of black pants had a hole in the bottom. I did not put on black panties and wear them anyway. I also did not make a mental note to always wear black panties when wearing these pants instead of throwing them away.

I did not just second guess myself by thinking, "should I really write about the color of my panties in my blog."

I did not laugh loudly at "Beer for My Horses". I would never go to a movie that required no thinking at all. I did not actually enjoy this simple movie.

I did not finish Breaking Dawn. I am not so very sad that it is over. I did not honestly think the other day, "I wonder what Edward and Bella are doing?"

I did not make my BFF a scrabble tile necklace that says, Hello My Name is Edward Cullen's Girlfriend. (Hello, we are in our 30's.)

I am not upset at my aid for taking off this coming Friday. The day of my Halloween party at school. 28 kids. Candy Galore. Sugary Snacks. No nap. Why would I be upset?

I did not just make myself stop doing not Me's.... because my blogging friends - I could go on and on..forever. Believe me.

OVERHEARD IN MY CLASSROOM
______________________________________
Child- (Raising her dress above her head). Look Teacher! Shorts under my dress.
Me: That is good but you still need to leave your dress down.
Another Child: My Mom says little girls should always wear shorts under our dresses so boys won't see our panties.
Me: Yes, I think wearing shorts under your dress is a good idea.
Child with shorts on under her dress: I have on shorts, but NO panties!
Me: Why? (I don't know why I asked this)
Child with shorts: My moms lazy.

So did your BFF love her neclace? I'm sorry you have to handle 28 sugared up kids by yourself Friday, that sounds like SO much fun!

LOL!:) "My mom is lazy!" LOL!:)

When my husband and I taught Sunday school for five year olds...we got ear fulls every Sunday. It was so hysterical, and I thought to myself many times...their parents would be mortified if they knew their child just told us that...Then it was really hard to greet them at the door (when they picked their child up)and not burst into giggles.;)

Your black pantie story was hilarious! I am really thinking we are related.;)

On another note: "I did NOT rush out and buy Twilight (after you blogged about the latest installment), and I definitely will NOT stay up to all hours reading it, and I absolutely will NOT buy the rest of the series to read, because I do NOT love sexy vampire stories....And I'm NOT sad at all that they canceled Moonlight on CBS. *sniff*sniff* (And I'm NOT crying...I'm cutting onions.) ;)

God Bless,
Amy:)
