It's not that time again. Don't click here to check out more!
On the way to a family party I did not tell my Mother all about the Twilight Series. I did not go on and on about the love story between these two fictional characters. She did not say explain it to me in detail because I wanna know about it but I don't want to take the time to read it. I did not die of embarrassment when my Mom did not announce that her daughter was in love with a fictional vampire. Good thing that did not happen to me. Sheesh.
When my parents were on vacation this past week. I did not call them daily and start the conversation with, "So what have ya'll bought me?" Instead of asking them how they were.. Of course I am way more considerate then that.. and I am 33 by the way, to old for souvenirs.
While at our local movie theater I did not blurt out, "That Blows" really loud and then turn around to one of the high school students standing there waving. "Hi, Ms. Teacher"! Ugh. Good thing that wasn't me huh? I am always a shining example. Yep.
I did not spit out my drink all over a 4 year old when she told me not to worry. She did not say, "Teacher, don't worry, He didn't kiss me on the lips, He kissed my boobies."
After the above incident didn't take place, I did not call my class into a group huddle to have a talk about personal boundaries for the 3rd time this year.
Sadly, our town does not have a Hobby Lobby. So my friends and I did not drive all the way to Muskogee (the closest town with one) to look for a certain craft supply that I needed. After not finding them, I did not carry them all over the store. Stop to look at something sparkly. Lay them down. Check out and forget them at the store. No way. Something like that would never happen to me. Ugh.
I did not catch a lady in Joann's Fabric rolling her eyes at me because I couldn't remember what I was looking for was called. I did not have to leave the store to keep from saying something. I was not tempted to go back in take care of the rudeness and then pray about it later. Nope something like this would never ever cross my mind.
I did not eat four popcorn balls (homemade, not store bought), a smores, and two hot dogs over this weekend. I am on a major diet and all that above mentioned things would totally be off limits.
I am totally not dreading weigh in this evening. Nope, because I followed my diet to a T. Um, speaking of T. I did not have two glasses of Sweet Tea today. Nope never. Only water for me.
I did not talk to a guy at Wal-Mart Sunday afternoon for nearly 5 minutes and walk away wondering who He was and how he knew me. I am still not wondering.
I did not cry when I seen a dead opossum laying on the side of the road this week with it's live baby trying to snuggle with it. It did not totally break my heart.
I was not distracted this morning during Worship because a lady had a COACH purse that was to die for. I did not want to take a picture of it so I could remember exactly what it looked like. I was not disappointed that my camera phone does not have a flash.
I did not waste my entire fall break doing absolutely nothing and I did not enjoy every single minute of it..
Oh, yeah. And since we are being so totally honest. I am so prepared for my class tomorrow. I have my lesson plans down to a tee.. My arts and craft project is already laid out. My papers are ran off...

LOL! I loved the Coach purse one!
Priceless!
oh the talks about personal boundries...poor you!
i am loving that you(did not)snap a pic of a ladies coach bag in church...
Thanks for stopping by my blog... and we are enjoying them together, unfortunately we don't have books 3 and 4 but they are coming!!! And I can empathize with you, we don't have a Hobby Lobby here in Hungary either :)
That is too funny! I love Not Me Monday!
Your not me monday's are so fun to read! This was great - especially the kissing kiddos! Ok, and also the coach bag!
I was laughing all the way though. Darn those camera phones & their flashes. I love coach purses too!
I still ask my parents what they bought me on vacations. That's bad?
You continue to crack me up on a weekly basis. I FREAKING LOVE IT!!
The possum story totally breaks my heart too! How sad!! Ok, I totally love COACH purses. I don't blame you one bit for wanting to take a picture of it :o) My sister is a highschool spanish teacher and accidently yelled out "HOly Crap!" during her student's quiet work time when she remembered something she was supposed to have done. She also said it wasn't that important either. OOps...:o)
I love Not Me Mondays, I look forward to them and this one was great!!
I so do not love Edward either!!
Okay I almost cried @ the Opossum story! I would have really been sad if I had seen that, unfortunately my hubby probably would have tried to run down the baby I would have hit him (my hubby not the opossum) and then cried even harder!
I love the "personal boundaries" story. The parents in that class must be going crazy.
Great Not Me's. It is fun to have a reason to look forward to Monday.
I do not love the Twilight series either, or popcorn balls for that matter!
Oh, and I am not excited to Pay it Forward :)
guurl, nuttin' wrong with being in love with a fictional character.
Oh my...no Hobby Lobby in your town?! How sad...
I "do not" need to check out the Twilight Series, because I definitely "do not" love sexy vampire stories. And I "do not" laugh every time I "don't read" these Not Me Monday posts of yours.;)
"Don't" have a wonderful day, Becky!
Big hugs,
Amy:)
Your phone doesn't have a flash? That blows!! ;-)
Happy Monday!
Oh no! The boobies comment, that sounds like my kids! it was not my child (the 4 year old) who said she saw God on the sidewalk last week and I almost slammed into another car! See my friday favorite comment post!)
CountryMom
You didn't happen to nominate me at the authorspot did you?
If so, that is so sweet and thank you! (while going through David's comments, I noticed one from you and thought . . . maybe Becky . . . )
:)
I usually only read like ten or so of these... and I'm glad you were in the top ten! Thanks for the laugh!
takingheart.blogspot.com
Oh my...these are great, once again!!! I loved the pre-schooler telling you not to worry...I was just laughing out loud!!
my son loves the Twilight series and I'm trying to find the time to read them...he's dying to tell me all about each one!!
I had to run over and check your blog out-it made me laugh last time I read it. I am not in love with Edward from Twilight either. That would just be insane.
Oh my! I can't believe that kid said that! You were full of Not Me's for this week...LOl!
OK, SERIOUSLY...I burst out laughing 4 different times with this and scared the babies...! ROFL!!! OMG I am ROLLING! I love it!
LOVE those! Thanks for the laughs this morning!
LOL! Great list......you learn pretty quickly to only talk about your teenage vampire love with those who share your teenage vampire love. :)
hahahaha I love your Not Me Monday's!!! They are so funny :)
CUTE POST!!!! lol You crack me up!!! I can soooooooooooo see you in church trying to get a pic of a Coach Purse!!!!
OKay girlfriend, how does one survive without a HOBBY LOBBY in their town? I couldn't function. You brave, brave soul.
I always love reading your Not me...LOL..!! I will not be putting my tag up today...
Love your Not Me Monday!
I love reading your "Not Me Monday" blogs!
:)
I have been telling everyone about Twilight! It is a good read-getting ready to start book 2 tonight...
AHhh! I forgot that it was Not Me Monday! I did however post a blog about my first giveaway! Go over and check it out!
You are great. I loved this post. I laughed and cried with you.
By the way you are never too old for souvenirs.
"So what did ya'll buy me?" That's hilarious. So funny.
My daughter (who is 5) came home from school and told me "Today in gym we had a talk about personal space!" :) Sounds like you had a great break!
i cant believe you had to have that talk with 4 yr olds... 3x's!! OMG!!
and i didn't have any smores this weekend either btw!
Kissed your boobies? LOL
Did you snap a shot of the coach purse...they just sent me a coupon $50 off $150 woohooo...I know what I want for my Bday!
Normally I'm not much for roadkill sympathy, but that one got even me.
My husband just got back from a big trip. I did not expect souvenirs. (*cough*) I was not disappointed when he only brought a t-shirt for the baby. (*cough, cough*)
PS--I did not also accidentally (or do we both just have fabulous taste) use the same theme as you when I made my (Canadian) Thanksgiving header.
darn the sweet tea - gives me such grief!
The "boobie kissing" is way to funny. Kid's say some funny stuff!
The White House
You seriously crack me up! I love these posts! The one about personal boundaries - hilarius! And, the Hobby Lobby thing - oh my word! Did you find out which bag it was? We must know!
Ok talk about a small world. I was reading blogs and clicking links and came to yours to find that you too are from Oklahoma.
Great not me Monday... a total crack up!!
Uggh... I hate when you forget who you were talking too. Awkward. I did that once and said, "my husband Corey" and it turned out to be one of my husbands distant relatives!!!
those were pretty dang good not me's! I would have been heart sick over the baby possum as well, but I probably would have ended up with an orphan animal in a shoe box in my car...you know...trying to rescue it and all! Those are NOT friendly creatures!
Ahh... I remember teaching preschool Sunday School and having the "boundaries" talk more than once... kids!
My, you had a busy week for not doing anything!
Those popcorn balls are sounding way too tempting right now...spare me!
Thanks for your comment about my LuckyPuppy :( I'm going to miss him.
Great Not me's . I had a smirk on my face reading them.
Bless your heart...you have the MOST boring life. Nothing EVER happens to you. LOL
Haha...great post! The "personal boundaries talks" cracked me up.
Oh, I'm still paying for eating the deep fried Oreos! (Shoot, they deep fry everything around here.) Sorry you weren't here to enjoy them with me. :o)
Stop by and see me again sometime!
P. S. We don't have a Hobby Lobby, either. :*(
Thanks for stopping by my blog! ROFL at the boundaries discussion! Preschoolers are great aren't they?!! :)
"I did not spit out my drink all over a 4 year old when she told me not to worry. She did not say, "Teacher, don't worry, He didn't kiss me on the lips, He kissed my boobies."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......that talk for the 3rd time? WOW. laughing.
I love your not me mondays!
What a great story about what you didn't do this weekend! Thanks for visiting me, hope to see you again.
Btw, lovely blog :-).
I did not just choke up over the Possum story...so sad :(
For the boundary thing - too funny!! I don't know how you kept your composure (oh wait...you did spit out your drink...)
Happy Monday!!
Great Not Me's! So sad about the baby possum.
These crack me up! I love them!
You seem like such a fun person : ). This was one of my favorite not me posts, and I read a lot of them : ). I hope you have a great week at school tomorrow and don't have to give any more personal boundry talks : ). Kids are SO funny! I used to have to give a lot of those when I taught kindergarten and first grade. Bodies are SO fascinating to 5 and 6 year olds.
I loved the part where you said you were going to take care of the rudeness and pray about it later. I've done that way TOO many times. cute post.
I laughed out loud when I read the part about the girl in your classroom and her kiss! That is SO funny!! I love reading your blog on Mondays!
Bless your heart about the Hobby Lobby incident! How aggravating!! :0(
LOL! I totally would have NOT done the same thing with the Coach bag! I love Coach! And I totally do not do the same thing with my dad when he's shopping..ask him what he bought me! And I'm 42! Selfish! All of these are so funny!
Hilarious! i would have died laughing if you were able to take the pic of the purse in church! That would've been awesome!
this post made me laugh so hard.....loved it!
Thanks for checking out my blog! I love your Not Me's! Fable is great. Our 360 won't play the original one anymore, but I'm going to start playing Fable 2 in about 10 minutes! :)
I am sure glad none of those things happened to you! Nothing like that has ever happened to me either!
Holy cow, I did NOT think you could do a funnier Not Me post-- this was priceless. You know, The Cutest Blog on the Block has Twilight buttons for your side bar. They have one that says, "My heart belongs to my....husband, but my neck belongs to Edward". I put it on my blog and then began to feel very foolish for being a 44 year-old woman in love with a 17 year-old (give or take a hundred years) vampire.
And you're NEVER too old for pressies from someone's trip!
Becky, I found your blog through that of a friend's and really love reading your stories. I am going to add you to my blogroll, if that is alright with you. I love reading "Not Me Monday". I think it is my favorite. :)
I think your blog is so funny. One of my must reads everyday.
thanks
Haha. This is great. You mentioned a weigh in. Are you doing Weight Watchers? I am, and I'm liking it, if I could just stay away from the pizza...
I so did not love this post and will not do it. Monday? You don't say!
Just another SSS blogstalker making the rounds, nice to meet you!
